Landmark Verdict: Telangana HC Invalidates Kothagudem BRS MLA Election

The petitioner contended that false information was submitted in the election affidavit, leading to a contentious electoral outcome. After conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, the High Court has now ruled in favor of the petitioner, declaring Vanama Venkateswara Rao's election as Kothagudem MLA as invalid. In addition to the ruling, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on Vanama Venkateswara Rao.
