Hyderabad: The police have placed Eatala Rajender, Chairman of the BJP's Election Management Committee and the sitting MLA from Huzurabad, under house arrest. Alongside Rajender, DK Aruna, a senior BJP leader and former minister, has also been confined to her residence by the authorities. The decision comes in the wake of the BJP's announcement that party members, under the leadership of state president Kishan Reddy, intended to inspect the two-bedroom houses in Batasingaram. The police, reportedly, acted preemptively, placing several BJP leaders under house arrest across the twin cities to presumably forestall this visit.
