Call of the Ocean: Flying fish 'steals' woman's smartphone in viral video

Hyderabad: In a hilariously bizarre twist of fate at sea, a woman's smartphone was 'stolen' by none other than a daring flying fish, showing the world that oceanic pickpockets come with fins and scales! On a solemn boat expedition off the coast of Leyte province, Philippines, Cha Ursal and Neressa Ursal Maquilan had no clue they were in for a sea-spray of surprise. They were there to honor a departed aunt, but a scaly intruder had other plans. As they posed for a momentous snapshot, a 10-inch silver bandit leaped aboard from the blue depths. With a swift crash into Maquilan's lap, it sent her smartphone flying into the waves before taking a dramatic dive after its booty. Talk about an epic photobomb! Despite the boat captain's valiant dive to retrieve the sunken treasure, the phone remained lost in Neptune's kingdom. That is, until the tide turned, literally! At low tide that evening, the elusive device was found ashore, completing this sea-riously comical adventure.
