Vande Bharat: Vijayawada to Chennai in Just 6.5 Hours- Deets Inside

In a substantial leap forward for rail travel, the soon-to-launch Vande Bharat Express is set to commence its operations connecting Vijayawada and Chennai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to virtually inaugurate this much-anticipated semi-high-speed train service on July 7, with commercial services set to roll out from July 8. The latest addition to Tamil Nadu's Vande Bharat train fleet, the third of its kind, is expected to significantly cut down travel time between the two cities. The train is slated to make intermediate stops at Gudur, Renigunta, and Katpadi before arriving in Chennai and will retrace the same route on its return journey. Travelers shuttling between Vijayawada and Chennai can look forward to a quicker commute, as the train is estimated to complete the inter-city journey in just six and a half hours, offering a significant time-saving benefit. As per early indications, the ticket prices for the air-conditioned chair car seats are expected to range between Rs 1000-1200, while the executive chair car seats could cost between Rs 1500-1700. Official confirmation of the pricing is anticipated within the next couple of days.
