Noida apartment bans Lungi, Nighty

Noida: Himsagar Apartments in the Builders area of Greater Noida's GB Nagar has found itself in the midst of controversy yet again. This time, the residential complex has come under scrutiny due to a notice issued by the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) that prohibits the wearing of 'Lungi' and 'nighty' within the premises. The notice has sparked outrage on social media platforms, with many users criticizing it as an encroachment on personal choice. The dress code, specifically applicable to residents when they are in the park area of the society, has garnered both support and opposition from residents. While some welcomed the move, others argued that it impinges on their right to choose their attire freely. The RWA Secretary, Hariprakash, issued the notice emphasizing the importance of dressing appropriately while moving around the society. The notice urged residents to be considerate of others' comfort and ensure that their attire does not invite unnecessary attention or scrutiny. It also highlighted the influence elders' clothing choices have on younger children and urged residents to set a positive example. The controversial notice has prompted a spirited discussion on social media.
