Telangana High Court Refused To Grant Stay On TSPSC Group- 3 & Group- 4 Notifications
In a recent development, the High Court has refused to grant a stay on the Group-III and Group-IV notifications, emphasizing that the recruitment process must proceed unhindered. The decision came after 101 job seekers approached the court, seeking the removal of typist-assistant posts from Group-III and Group-IV. The court clarified that the amendment made last year to the 2015 Government Order (GO) led to the elimination of the typist-assistant designation in these groups. Consequently, the court struck down the 55 and 136 GOs issued last year and directed the implementation of the older orders. A bench comprising Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice N Tukaram has issued notices to the government and the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), scheduling further hearing on July 13. Despite the petitioners' counsel requesting a stay on the process until then, the High Court declined to intervene, asserting that it is not the court's role to halt recruitment proceedings.
The High Court's decision upholds the continuation of the recruitment process for Group-III and Group-IV positions, ensuring that the selection and appointment procedures remain unaffected. The court's refusal to grant a stay demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the recruitment system.
Job seekers who had challenged the typist-assistant posts in these groups will need to await further proceedings on July 13 when the matter will be deliberated upon. Until then, the recruitment process will proceed as planned, as stated by the High Court.
