Fire breaks out in technical wagon at Eluru railway station

Eluru: A massive fire broke out in a railway technical wagon, causing extensive damage to approximately 50% of the train. The incident took place at Eluru railway station. The swift response of railway staff and the fire tenders prevented any casualties. According to the sources, the wagon is used for track repairs and contains cooking materials and oil tins. The fire occurred while the coach was stationed at a platform, and smoke was noticed by the vigilant coach staff who immediately informed station officials. The wagon was promptly removed from the platform, and the fire tenders indulged in rescue operations to douse the fire. Unfortunately, the fire quickly escalated due to the ignited oil, resulting in more than 50% of the coach being consumed by the flames.
