Ambati Rayudu Meets CM Jagan, Fuels Speculation of Political Entry

Former Team India cricketer Ambati Tirupati Rayudu on Thursday paid a visit to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the Chief Minister's residence in Tadepalli, further fueling speculation about his potential entry into politics. This marks the second meeting between Rayudu and CM Jagan in recent times, with their previous encounter taking place just before the IPL final. Now, Ambati Rayudu has once again visited CM Jagan's camp office in Tadepalli, indicating a possible foray into politics. The nature of the assurances or commitments made by CM Jagan to Rayudu regarding his political aspirations has yet to be clarified. There are widespread speculations that the YSRCP leadership is considering fielding Ambati Rayudu, who hails from the Kapu community, as a candidate from either the Ponnuru assembly seat in Guntur district or the Guntur Lok Sabha seat. Sources suggest that the YSRCP sees potential benefits in nominating Rayudu as the Guntur MP. In the previous elections, Modugula Venugopal Reddy contested the Guntur Lok Sabha seat but lost to Galla Jayadev.
