Press Meet: Revanth Reddy Extends Open Arms to Former Party Members in a Bold Move
In a surprising and strategic move, the Chief of Telangana Congress, A. Revanth Reddy, has extended a heartfelt invitation to former party members to return and reunite with the party. In an effort to prioritize the party's interests, Revanth Reddy expressed his willingness to step down if it meant accommodating the old-timers.
Comparing the Congress party to a nurturing mother, Revanth Reddy stated, "Those who, in a moment of anger or due to perceived differences with other leaders, have distanced themselves from their political mother, can always come back. The party warmly welcomes them, and they can choose to work alongside the respected leaders Sonia Gandhi or AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge if they find any discomfort with me or others," he confidently shared during a press interaction.
Revanth Reddy further hinted at the party's intention to extend invitations to prominent leaders such as former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, emphasizing the common goal of defeating KCR and his political faction.
Highlighting the recent political dynamics, the Congress Chief claimed that Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao exhibited evident displeasure following Prime Minister Modi's defeat in Karnataka.
Revanth Reddy asserted that the Karnataka election outcome delivered a resounding message nationwide, shattering the perception of Modi's invincibility. The people's verdict, he emphasized, showcased that Modi's political tactics, such as leveraging agencies like the CBI and ED or encouraging defections, were successfully countered with unwavering courage.
During a high-profile press conference, esteemed party members including V. Hanmanth Rao, Shabbir Ali, Ponnam Prabhakar, Anjan Yadav, Chamala Kiran Reddy, and Anil Yadav stood united, endorsing Reddy's vision for the party's revival.
With this bold and inclusive move, A. Revanth Reddy has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, signaling a determined effort to reunite and rejuvenate the Congress party in Telangana.
