New Delhi: On May 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Museum Expo 2023 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The expo, organized as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorates the 47th International Museum Day (IMD). The theme for this year's IMD is 'Museums, Sustainability, and Well-Being.' Prior to the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi inspected the expo, which showcases a diverse range of exhibits. Speaking at the event, he highlighted that India's heritage serves as a unifying force globally. He cited the holy relics of Lord Buddha, which have been preserved for generations and now bring followers of Lord Buddha together from all around the world. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of conserving resources and viewing the entire Earth as one family. He urged museums to actively engage in preserving resources for future generations.
