Nagaladevi Book Launched by Chandrababu

In a recent event at his Hyderabad residence, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu launched 'Nagaladevi', a book penned by acclaimed journalist Bhagirath. The novel delves into the romantic saga of Sri Krishna Devaraya, the iconic ruler of the Vijayanagara Empire, and his love, Nagaladevi. The narrative recounts how Sri Krishna Devaraya, entranced by the charm of Nagaladevi from the quaint village of Nagalapuram near Tirupati, decided to marry her. After their marriage, Nagaladevi adopted the name Chinna Devi. However, Bhagirath's book addresses a prevalent historical controversy that has sparked debates among historians - whether Nagaladevi and Chinna Devi are two different individuals. In 'Nagaladevi', Bhagirath argues the case that they are indeed the same person. The book is the result of Bhagirath's extensive research spanning nearly 16 years. It elucidates how Nagaladevi, or Chinna Devi, significantly contributed to Sri Krishna Devaraya's reign over his empire. During the book launch, Naidu extended his congratulations to Bhagirath for the significant work. The unveiling of 'Nagaladevi' signals a fascinating exploration of a historical love story woven with elements of debate and intrigue.
