The hospital, which is meant to provide services to the poor, has failed to alleviate their sufferings, as various incidents of mismanagement have come to light from time to time. In a distressing incident, a man was forced to carry his wife on his back as the hospital staff refused to provide a stretcher. The video of the incident has now gone viral on social media. The couple had come to the hospital from Bhadradri Kothagudem district as the woman, Lakshmi, had undergone surgery less than a month ago and needed a follow-up check-up. However, upon reaching the hospital, they were told that the doctors were unavailable for the day and were asked to come the next day. The husband then requested a stretcher to carry his wife, who was unable to walk, out of the hospital. However, the hospital staff refused to provide one, forcing him to carry his wife on his shoulders. This incident has once again exposed the mismanagement and callousness of the hospital staff towards the patients.
