Mayawati Speech at BSP Telangana Bharosa Sabha in Saroornagar

In a recent public address, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati announced the party's nomination of Telangana unit President and former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar as their chief ministerial candidate. Mayawati asserted that if the BSP gains victory in the upcoming Telangana elections, Praveen Kumar will assume the role of Chief Minister. Mayawati praised Praveen Kumar's dedication to the party since taking voluntary retirement from the Indian Police Service (IPS) and expressed confidence that he would continue to serve the people with the same commitment as the BSP did during their tenure in Uttar Pradesh. The BSP leader urged the public to support her party in the forthcoming Telangana elections and grant the party a majority of Lok Sabha seats from the state in the national elections next year. Mayawati emphasized that for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Muslims, and other marginalized communities to achieve a life of dignity and liberation from oppression, they must vote the BSP into power. Mayawati also criticized Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's proposal to amend the Constitution, cautioning the public against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government. She argued that any government advocating for changes to the Constitution, as drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar, should be removed from power.
