Hospital uses Fevikwik instead of stitches for child's head injury in Telangana
Jogulamba: In a shocking incident, a private hospital in Jogulamba Gadwala district of Karnataka used fevikwik to treat a serious injury on a child's head, sparking outrage among the family and community.
According to the sources, Vamsikrishna and Sunitha, a couple from Lingasoogur in Raichur district, had taken their seven-year-old son Praveen Chaudhary to the hospital after he was injured while playing outside during a relative's wedding in Aiza. The child had suffered a deep injury above his left eye, and stitches were required.
However, instead of providing stitches, the hospital staff used fevikwik, a popular adhesive, to treat the wound. The family was shocked and immediately questioned the doctor at the Hospital, who gave a negligent reply to the parents.
The family filed a complaint at the police station and demanding strict action against the doctor and hospital management.
