Farmers in Anantapur district staged a protest against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's convoy, as he was travelling to Puttaparthi after attending a program in Singanamala constituency. The farmers claimed that officials have acquired 210 acres of land in Tumparthi and Motumaru areas for the construction of houses for the poor, but they have not been compensated yet. The farmers alleged that MLA Ketireddy Venkatrami Reddy has failed to provide compensation and when they tried to give a representation to the CM, they were pushed away by the police. The security personnel managed to move the protesters aside and the CM's convoy proceeded.
