In Vijayawada's NIA court on Monday, the trial in the attempt to murder case against YSRCP Chief and CM Jagan took place. The proceedings lasted for four hours as CM Jagan's lawyer, Inkollu Venkateswara Rao, presented his arguments. The judge stated that the arguments of both the lawyer and the NIA representing the accused Srinivasa Rao will be heard on May 20. CM Jagan had filed a petition seeking a thorough investigation into the roaster knife attack case, which was also discussed in court on Monday. During the hearing, Jagan's lawyer argued against the counters filed by the lawyers representing the NIA and Srinivasa Rao, claiming that the officials examined 35 witnesses in a single day and that further investigation is required based on the NIA chargesheet. The lawyer also alleged that TDP leader Harsha Vardhan Chowdary had taken the accused Srinu to a restaurant as part of the conspiracy plan. The court has scheduled the matter for further hearing
