Kiran Kumar Reddy Speaks After Joining BJP

On Friday, the former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy, joined the BJP in New Delhi, in the presence of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. The invitation to join the party came from Pralhad Joshi, who covered Reddy with a party scarf. In his speech, Reddy expressed that he had never anticipated resigning from the Congress party. However, he noted that after the bifurcation of the state, the Congress party in AP has been weakened, and its high command did not consult anyone on the issue of bifurcation. According to Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Congress party lacks leadership, and it prioritizes power over responsibilities. The party does not take the time to understand the strengths of state leaders or determine who should be given what responsibility. This is why they have been losing in every state. In contrast, Reddy expressed that the BJP has a clear vision for the development of the country. He shared that when he was the CM, he met Modi in a few meetings and knows him well. Kiran Kumar Reddy believes that Modi is entirely against corruption and that people have come closer to the BJP due to the development happening under Modi's leadership. Kiran Kumar Reddy concluded by stating that he is ready to take on any responsibility assigned to him by the BJP high command.
