Who Will Reign Supreme?: Nara Lokesh and Kethireddy Create Social Media Frenzy
Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy Venkatarami Reddy and TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh have been grabbing attention in Andhra Pradesh's political arena. On Sunday, Nara Lokesh released a selfie outside a building that he claimed was a guest house constructed by the Dharmavaram MLA on encroached land. He also released a drone video that he said shows it to be nothing less than a palace.
In response to the accusations made by Nara Lokesh, YSRCP MLA Kethi Reddy released a selfie video on Monday. In the video, he stands outside a structure near the Krishna riverbank, alleging that it was built illegally by TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.
To counter the allegations, Venkatarami Reddy also released a video of himself called 'Reply to Selfie Challenge,' in which he stands on the embankment with the Lingamaneni Guest House in the background. He demanded that Nara Lokesh prove that the structure in the TDP MLC's selfie was genuine and not constructed on illegally occupied river embankment land. He also challenged him to prove that the guest house built by the MLA in Dharmavaram was also built on illegally acquired property. Venkatarami Reddy promised to resign and not contest the next election if Nara Lokesh could prove his allegations.
Venkatarami Reddy further criticized Nara Lokesh's allegations, stating that the selfies taken with sand lorries in the background were laughable. He also demanded that Nara Lokesh prove that at least one sand lorry was going from Dharmavaram to Bengaluru. Venkatarami Reddy claimed that he had been conducting a 'Good Morning Dharmavaram' program since 2008, long before becoming an MLA in 2019. He further stated that the guest house was built on land that he had legally purchased.
"If a single farmer or landowner claims that I have illegally occupied their land, I am willing to quit politics. Is your father also willing to do the same?" he questioned.
The ongoing battle of words between these two leaders, with their selfie video challenges, is gaining traction on various social media platforms.
