Navjot Sidhu Walks Out After 10 Months In Jail Over Road-Rage Case

Navjot Singh Sidhu, a Congress leader from Punjab, was released from jail after being imprisoned for 10 months in a road rage case that occurred 34 years ago. After his release in Patiala, he immediately resumed political activities, accusing the central government of wanting to impose President's rule in Punjab, where the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in power. He stated that democracy was in chains and that Punjab was the country's shield, and that a revolution led by Rahul Gandhi emerged when dictatorship came to power in India. These statements come amid the hunt for radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, whose private militia has been accused of attempting to disrupt law and order in Punjab.
