Khammam: On Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao announced a compensation of Rs. 200 for damaged crops caused by untimely rains in the state. He made this announcement to the media after inspecting damaged crops in Bonkal Mandal, located in the Khammam district. The Chief Minister stated that each damaged acre in the state would receive a compensation of Rs. 10,000. According to reports, around 2,28,000 acres of land were affected by the rains, resulting in significant losses for tenant farmers. The officers in charge will oversee the distribution of compensation to the affected farmers. Furthermore, KCR clarified that there was no need for financial assistance from the Central Government. He alleged that the BJP government had not implemented any policies to benefit farmers in the country. Instead, he accused them of prioritizing politics over the welfare of farmers and the people.
