Former Chief Minister and TDP President, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has claimed that the results of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council elections show that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) will not win power again. He thanked the voters for the TDP's victory in all three graduates' constituencies, stating that it is a clear indication of anti-incumbency. Chandrababu referred to the recent polls as a "war between Jagan Reddy and the 5 crore people of the state," saying that the YSRCP will soon disappear. He criticized the YSRCP government for imposing restrictions on the opposition, adding that democracy has certain checks and balances that the ruling party should follow religiously. The former Chief Minister expressed surprise that even the Election Commission's directions are not being followed, and accused bureaucrats of resorting to atrocities to win Jagan's confidence. Chandrababu also claimed that Ram Gopal Reddy, who won in the polls, was illegally arrested.
