Experience the Grandeur of Telangana's New Secretariat Building with a 3D Virtual Tour

The long-awaited opening ceremony of the Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat will take place with a special puja at 6:08 am on April 30. The honorable Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will attend the inaugural ceremony and take his seat in his chambers at 1:20 pm on the same day, along with other ministers and high-ranking officials. All ministers and officials will be allocated their chambers in the Secretariat on April 20, allowing them to start their operations effectively from April 30. Originally scheduled for February 17, the inauguration of the Secretariat building was postponed to April 30 due to the Model Code of Conduct, which was enforced in Hyderabad following the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Teachers constituency elections held on Monday. In the meantime, officials have released a 3D visualization video of the State Secretariat complex, showcasing its grandeur and modern amenities. The new Secretariat, designed by the Chennai-based Architects Ponni Concessao and Oscar Concessao, has a unique architecture that blends the Indo-Islamic architectural features with domes, typical of the Indo-Sarssenic style. The building's multiple domes and arches represent the syncretic and liberal Deccani style, fitting perfectly into this architecture. The overall master plan has been zoned for the Secretariat building, ancillary buildings for visitors, police personnel, fire department, crèche, utility building, temple, mosque, and church. Ample space has been planned for landscaping, with hardscapes featuring stone pavements and softscapes consisting of lawns, native trees, fountains, and parking spaces for VVIPs, staff, and others. The Secretariat is equipped with all modern amenities, including conference halls, visitors' lounges, dining halls, and more.
