Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha has come into the political spotlight due to Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons and her call for a ‘dharna’ in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill. During a press conference held in New Delhi on Thursday, the Telangana MLC claimed that the ED takes precedence over PM Modi in election-bound states. She also announced that 6,000 people have confirmed their participation in her ‘dharna’ at Jantar Mantar, where 18 political parties have also shown their interest. K Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, believes that she was summoned because of her proposed ‘dharna’. Despite her name being mentioned in the liquor scam case, Kavitha argues that the central agencies are being used by the BJP to intimidate opposition leaders. Furthermore, Kavitha has expressed confidence that BRS will work towards the betterment of the nation and become a viable alternative to the BJP. She has accused the BJP of
