Giant King Cobra stands tall in viral video, netizens left in awe and fear

A viral video of a towering King Cobra has left netizens in awe and fear. In the footage, the enormous snake is seen standing upright on a muddy slope, with its hood raised high and its gaze fixed on a particular spot. Its long tail remains firmly planted on the ground as it towers over 5 feet in height. The video was shared on Twitter by Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, who also revealed that a King Cobra can stand as tall as a fully-grown person's eye level. He further added that when the reptile feels threatened, it can lift two-thirds of its body off the ground. In his tweet, he stated, "The king cobra can literally "stand up" and look at a full-grown person in the eye. When confronted, they can lift up to a third of its body off the ground."
