A senior BJP leader claimed on Monday that K Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, will be arrested soon by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. The allegations have created a stir among the ruling party leaders in Telangana. Meanwhile, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has strongly condemned the recent arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia by the CBI in relation to the Delhi excise policy case. BRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao described the arrest as "undemocratic" and accused the BJP-led central government of misusing investigative agencies like the CBI to target opposition parties and leaders. The allegations made against K Kavitha have not been confirmed by the CBI, and it remains to be seen whether any action will be taken against her in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
