Kim Jong Un & Daughter Inaugurate New Street Construction Project In Pyongyang

State media reported on Saturday that Kim Jong Un and his daughter attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new street in Pyongyang, marking the first time the young girl has appeared at such an event. The North Korean leader emphasized the importance of young North Koreans in the inauguration of the new project in Sopho District, calling it "another proud page in the history of our country's youth movement," according to ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun. This focus on the "heirs to the revolution," coupled with the appearance of Kim's daughter, highlights the emphasis on youth in the leader's recent messaging. This includes visits to prominent schools in Pyongyang and state media declarations linking North Korea's nuclear weapons pursuit to the future of children.
