Palaniswami, a 75-year-old farmer in Coimbatore, has erected a statue of his wife in a temple to remember her and performs daily puja. The farmer's wife passed away, and Palaniswami states that he does not want to be separated from her, and therefore he doesn't go anywhere. Recalling his wife, Palaniswami said that they had been happily married for 45 years, and her sudden death left him in shock. "I don't want to keep her out of my sight, so I built the statue and placed it in the temple," he said emotionally. The farmer's heartwarming gesture of love for his departed wife has drawn admiration from the local community.
