Vijayawada: Another young person has tragically fallen victim to harassment by a loan app in Avanigadda, located in the Krishna district. According to the sources, the deceased identified Mohammed, an electrician from Challapalli who worked at a milk factory in Vijayawada, who took out a loan from Hero Finance Corporation and was paying it back. However, the loan app began to send obscene messages and make harassing phone calls to both Mohammed and his contacts, demanding more money. Overwhelmed and unable to bear the harassment, Mohammed hanged himself. He is survived by his wife and five-month-old son. This incident adds to the growing number of cases in which people have been driven to suicide as a result of the harassment they have suffered at the hands of loan apps. Despite warnings from the police and officials, many individuals continue to turn to loan apps, only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of harassment and intimidation. Mohammed's family has filed a complaint with the police, who are now investigating the matter.
