The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have criticized the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government for creating obstacles to the party's national general secretary, Nara Lokesh's padayatra at every turn. The TDP leaders allege that the YSRCP government and its cadres are deliberately trying to undermine the success of Lokesh's padayatra by spreading fear and tension among its supporters. According to TDP Politburo member Srinivasulu Reddy, the YSRCP government has deployed 500 police officers to obstruct Lokesh's padayatra and has put pressure on lower-level police officers to create obstacles. Srinivasulu Reddy further alleges that the government advisor, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has created a fake video to discredit Lokesh's padayatra. TDP senior leader and former minister Prathipati Pulla Rao alleges that the ruling YSRCP has been violating constitutional rules in all aspects. He claims that the YSRCP's actions are unacceptable and show a lack of respect for democratic values.
