Venkaiah Naidu reacts to girl student in Bhimavaram; makes key comments on AP Capital

Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu recently addressed the Annual Day celebration at an engineering college in Bhimavaram. During his speech, he was asked about the controversial issue of the state capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati or Visakhapatnam. The former Vice President stated that as he is no longer in politics, he is bound by the constitution to refrain from making any controversial comments. He added that after completing his full term as the Vice President, he is forced to respect the constitution and avoid any statements that could be deemed controversial. The question was asked by a student who wanted to know the current status of the state capital. Naidu acknowledged the student's right to ask the question, but also reminded her that he has certain limitations in answering such questions. He explained that when he was a central minister, he had spoken on the issue, but now that he is no longer in office, he must abide by the constitutional restrictions.
