Nara Lokesh, the general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party, has declared that it will take a decade for the state to recover from the losses he claims were inflicted by Chief Minister YS Jagan. Lokesh began his "Yuva Galam Padayatra" in Masapalle, Chittoor district on the thirteenth day of his journey, and had an interaction with students at Krishnapuram. The students there expressed their concerns about the lack of job opportunities and proper fee reimbursement since Jagan took office. They said that many of their peers have been forced to seek work outside the state, in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. In response, Lokesh accused Jagan of driving out the enterprises that were established during the Telugu Desam regime. He claimed that under Jagan's rule, the youth have suffered irretrievable losses and that the state needs to take swift action to reverse the trend and provide better opportunities for the youth.
