Sircilla kidnap case takes a twist; ‘Victim’ releases wedding video

The kidnapping case in Chandurthi's Mudapalli took a turn when the 'victim' girl released a video declaring that she had not been abducted and that she had gone to get married with her lover Gnaneshwar as per her wish. The incident began early on Tuesday when the girl, Shalini, was 'kidnapped' by four people while she and her father, Chandraiah, were leaving a temple. Shalini posted the video, in which she said she had been in love with Gnaneshwar alias Johnny for the previous four years, even as the police began looking for her. Only with her permission had Johnny come to the shrine to fetch her up. She claimed that at first, she didn't understand why Johnny had a mask concealing his face. She later identified him, followed him, and, in accordance with her wishes, got married to him.
