The residences of Telangana's Minister for Labour and Employment, C. Malla Reddy, and his relatives in Hyderabad have been searched by income tax officials since Tuesday morning. Protests in support of Minister Malla Reddy have been started by TRS members close to his home. They started a protest campaign in response to the income tax raids. The TRS workers have claimed that the raids were retaliatory and mandated by the BJP at the Centre in response to the I-T department's action. On this instance, they have even warned PM Modi. They claim it is a plot by the BJP high command against CM KCR and his new political organisation, the "Bharat Rashtra Samiti" (BRS).
