Odisha: In a shocking incident, a herd of elephants consumed fermented water used to prepare country liquor in Odisha and fell into a deep sleep. The incident took place near the Shilipada cashew forest in the Keonjhar district. According to the sources, a few villagers went into the forest to prepare country liquor and found 24 elephants were in deep sleep and found that they drank the fermented water used to prepare by fermenting Mahua flowers. They tried to wake up the elephants but in vain and later they informed the forest officials. After getting the information, the forest officials rushed to the spot and beat the drums to wake up them. Later, the elephants went inside the forest.
