Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off south India's first Vande Bharat Express on Friday at Krantiveera Sangolli Railway station in Bengaluru. The Vande Bharat Express will connect Mysur and Chennai via Bengaluru. PM Modi also inaugurated the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan train, operated by Karnataka's Muzrai Department under the 'Bharat Gaurav train policy of Railways. Officials said that the train will fulfil the dream of many travellers who wished to undertake the Kashi Yatra and the train will offer an eight-day tour package. It is learnt that the Karnataka government also provide cash assistance of Rs 5,000 to Kashi yatra pilgrims. The train also covers Ayodhya, Varanasi and Prayagraj.
