Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan suffers bullet injury after shots fired at rally

Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, and a few of his followers were slightly injured when a shooter opened fire at a campaign truck carrying him on Thursday, according to a senior member of his party and the police. Mr. Khan was wounded in the leg but not critically hurt, according to a Party official. It was not immediately known who the shooter was who was detained on the site. The shooting has not yet been attributed to any particular organisation. As part of his campaign to compel the government to call early elections, Mr. Khan was travelling in a sizable convoy of trucks and vehicles toward the capital, Islamabad, when the incident took place, in the Wazirabad region of the eastern Punjab province, according to the police,
