Telugu Desam Party on Thursday denounced the detention of its senior leader and former minister Ayyanna Patrudu as illegal and claimed that the Andhra Pradesh government took the action because he was criticising the government about destroying the Uttarandhra region and exposing corruption. Srikakulam TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu claimed during an interview with a media outlet that Ayyannapatra, who was exposing the injustices and land grabs in Uttarandhra, was being silenced by the government. ''If the CM Jagan-led administration tries to repress the BCs, we won't keep quiet and are prepared to fight'', Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu said. The TDP MP claimed that the CM YS Jagan is misusing the Police system while denouncing the senior leader's midnight arrest.
