He has vowed to correct the "mistakes" of Liz Truss' disastrous 49-day leadership. The various activities of Mr. Rishi Sunak in the first 48 hours after becoming the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom were emphasised in a video of the chronology of events for the UK PM. Mr. Sunak declared, "I have been elected as the leader of my party and your prime minister, and that work begins immediately." Additionally, he declared, "I will unite our nation by action, not with words." Mr. Sunak also received congratulatory message from the US President Biden over phone.
