India has strong reply to Pakistan at the UN platform

In a stern retort to Pakistan, India asserted in the UN General Assembly that a nation that professes to want harmony with its neighbours would never endorse violent extremism or provide sanctuary to those who planned the dreadful Mumbai terrorist attack, only revealing their existence when pressure from the international community was applied. The First Secretary in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN, Mijito Vinito, stated in the Right of Reply, 'It is deplorable that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has picked the platform of this august assembly to make unfounded allegations against India.' The young Indian envoy stated, 'He has done so to cover up wrongdoing in his own country and to justify acts against India that the world sees objectionable.' In his speech, Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's desire for peace with India but emphasised that a just and equitable resolution to the Kashmir conflict in accordance with the UN Charter and Security Council resolutions is the only way to insure and assure a permanent peace. According to Mijito Vinito, such a nation would not make unwarranted and unsustainable territorial disputes against its neighbours, desire their territories, or attempt to forcibly annex them to its own territory.
