According to party BJP Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, the BJP opposes the idea of having three capitals in Andhra Pradesh and has argued that Amaravati should remain the single capital of the State. In his remarks to a press conference in New Delhi on Thursday, GVL Narasimha stated that the BJP considers Amaravati to be the sole capital because it was chosen with the consent of all. The BJP MP responded to the state government's decision to make Visakhapatnam the executive capital of the state by saying that while his party is not opposed to the development of any districts, they regard Amaravati as the proper location for the state capital.
