Telangana: IB warns of terrorist attacks around I-Day

Prior to Independence Day, Intelligence Bureau (IB) authorities issued a warning about a potential danger from terror groups in strategic parts of the nation, including state capitals. All states, including Telangana police, have received circulars from intelligence officials advising them to be alert while putting extra forces at sensitive locations where there have recently been communal disturbances. To avoid undesirable situations, intelligence officials have instructed Telangana police to exercise prudence in sensitive regions. The police have been informed as a result of the threat. The police will reportedly be on high alert at Hyderabad's Shamsabad airport and other sensitive areas till August 31.
