Telangana's Minister of Information Technology and Industries, KT Rama Rao(KTR), on Wednesday, criticised the NDA government at the Centre for the rates amid a commotion among the opposition parties over recent GST increases on necessities. Minister KTR, the working president of the TRS, once again mocked and made sarcastic comments at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. KTR brought up how Mahatma Gandhi used 'Charkha' as a representation of 'Aatma Nirbhar' to instil the Swadeshi spirit among the people. He claimed that as the first Prime Minister, Modi had put a GST on khadi and handloom textile products, earning him questionable recognition. To this point, KTR, who critiqued on Twitter, questioned whether PM Modi had indeed attained 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.'
