YSRCP MLA lands in controversy, govt staffer alleges Jakkampudi Raja slapped him

East Godavari, June 2: Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Suryakiran lodged a complaint against YSRCP MLA Jakkampudi Raja at Three Town police station in Rajahmundry. He alleged that the MLA slapped him thrice during a review meeting in the presence of SE and other officials. Speaking to the media, Suryakiran said that they granted permission for farmers in 2020 to remove silt deposited in canals so that water can reach to tail-end crops. “The MLA asked me to raise bills for the money spent by farmers for removing silt in canals,” he stated. The AEE mentioned that preparation of bills is not possible without estimates. “Raja slapped me before I could give a reply,” he alleged.
