Chennai, May 29: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu unveiled and paid a floral tribute to a 16-ft high bronze statue of former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi at Omandurar government estate in Triplicane here. State Chief Minister MK Stalin was also present for the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Venkaiah described Karunanidhi a great orator and strived for the upliftment of the downtrodden. Stressing the importance of relationship between Centre and states, he said country’s development is possible only when states are developed. He further stated people should learn as many languages as possible.
