On Thursday evening, Hyderabad experienced moderate to heavy rain. For approximately four hours, heavy rain and gusting winds lashed the city, causing havoc on the roads. Several low-lying regions were swamped with rain water, causing a traffic jam. Winds gusting at 40 kilometres per hour have harmed the livelihood of Hyderabad and its environs. It had an impact on the Hyderabad International Airport since it presented a threat to flights landing there. Trees and power lines have been uprooted as a result of the strong winds. Flights to Hyderabad from Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Bangalore have been diverted to Gannavaram near Vijayawada and other locations. The GHMC enlisted the assistance of the Disaster Management Team in rescue and other activities.
