Vijayawada: A degree-studying student was admitted to ICU after he drank acid instead of water. The shocking incident took place at Enikepadu, Vijayawada. According to the reports, the victim identified as Chaitanya, pursuing his graduation at Loyola College and he stopped at a local shop to purchase a water bottle. The shopkeeper mistakenly gave an acid bottle to him and suffered severe illness after drinking it. He was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital and undergoing treatment in the ICU. His college management is collecting funds for his treatment as he belongs to the poor family. Locals expressing anger over the negligence of the shopkeeper.
