Six killed, several injured after blast at chemical factory in Andhra Pradesh

Eluru: In a tragic incident, six persons were killed and 13 others injured severely after a massive fire broke out at Porus Laboratories in Akkireddygudem, Musunur Mandal in the Eluru district. According to the reports, a fire broke out at Unit 4 in the factory and 6 persons died and 12 others were injured in the accident. After getting the information, the fire tenders rushed to the spot and indulged in rescue operations. The injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital and undergoing treatment. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the incident and announced Rs 25 lakh ex-gratia to the family of the deceased, Rs 5 lakh for severely injured persons and Rs 2 lakh for minor injured persons.
