Centre approves for Vizag railway zone

Visakhapatnam: Union Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav said that the Union Cabinet approved for Visakhapatnam Railway zone. Minister Ashwin replied to the question aired by Bharatiya Janata Party MP GVL Narasimha Rao and added that the Union Cabinet approved the South Coast Railway zone making Visakhapatnam as the center. He further added that the Cabinet also approved for a new division replacing the Walter division with Raigad. The minister stated that they have constituted a senior administrative grade level committee to analyse the Detailed Project Report (DPR). He added that they have already allotted Rs 170 crores for a new railway zone and railway division in the 2020-21 union budget.
