Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Launches 1700 2BHK Houses at Bahadurpally, Hyderabad

The Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Mr.Talasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated 1700 2BHK Dignity Housing Colony at Bahadurpally, Quthbullapur in Medchal District here today. 


Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chief Minister Sri K.Chandrashekhar Rao has formulated the housing scheme for the poor and needy for a dignity living. Out of 1700 houses distributed today, 144 beneficiaries belongs to Gajularamaram, 356 beneficiaries from Bahadurpally, 500 beneficiaries each from Sanathnagar and Kukatpally and 200 beneficiaries from Secunderabad Cantonment areas.

 Allotment of the houses has been done with all transparency with no political alliance but purely with draw of lots in the presence of one and all. Not even 1 rupee has been collected from any of the beneficiary. Each house costing about Rs.50-60 lakhs is being given to the poor and the needy free of cost, by the government. He also informed that the cost of an acre, where the housing colonies are being built are somewhere around Rs.8-10 Crores. He said that nowhere in the country such a scheme is being implemented. He advised the individuals who could not get allotments in the first phase not to panic, but said that all the eligible who have applied will get the houses but in phase manner. He refuted the charge of the opposition alleging that non-applicants also were being allotted houses. Never in the history, such transparency in allotments has been carried out , he said. 

He informed that 11,700 houses are being distributed in first phase and in the periphery of GHMC limits, the government has contemplated to constructed one lakh houses. Of the one lakhs houses, about 69,500 houses have been completed, which will be distributed in phase manner, he said. 

The Minister also listed out various welfare schemes being implemented by the government for the welfare of the poor viz. Kalyana Laxmi, Shadi Mubarak, KCR KIT and pensions to the old-aged and disabled persons. 

MLA, Quthbullapur, Vivekanand Goud, MLA Kukatpally, Krishna Rao also spoke on the occasion. The District Collector, Anudeep Durisetty carried out the allotment process through NIC, while Commissioner, GHMC, Ronald Ross, Additional Collector, Abhishek, Chief Engineer, Suresh and others attended the programme.
