74% of AP & TS farmers to continue using Godrej Gracia for Chilli in the next season
Guntur, 22nd July 2023: Godrej Agrovet Limited’s (GAVL) Crop Protection Business today said that 74% of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana farmers expressed their intent to continue using Godrej Gracia for Chilli in the next season too. With pests impacting the yield of Chilli crop on an average by 30%-35%, Godrej Gracia exhibits excellent control of chewing and sucking pests such as Larva, Caterpillars, and Thrips in farms.
Launched in 2022, Godrej Gracia is a patented chemistry discovered and developed by Japan's Nisan Chemical Corporation and introduced in India through collaboration with GAVL. Through proactive application at the correct time, it provides extended duration and effectiveness in controlling pests and has excellent rainfastness. It is also an economical and effective alternative to existing solutions available in the market providing one of the lowest costs per day treatment compared to other solutions including the conventional ones.
Rajavelu N.K, CEO, Crop Protection Business, GAVL said, "During the last season, almost 95% of the Chilli crops were severely infested due to Thrips. However, with Gracia’s quicker control against chewing pests and thrips compared to peers, it is heartening to see the trust it has earned amongst the farmers in the short span of 14 months since launch. With farmer now calling the product as ‘My Gracia’ and showcasing the intent to use Gracia in the next season too, it clearly indicates that they consider it as a value for money solution.”

As per the independent study conducted by GAVL in partnership with CRISIL, farmers are witnessing the impact of Gracia after the first spray with ~75% of farmers repurchased the product.
